Veterans - Reminder: Second Monday of Every Month starting at 11am at Sarnia Legion Branch 62.
Buddy Check Coffee is a veteran-run peer support program created by the Royal Canadian Legion. It provides a relaxed, judgment-free space for Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP, and allied veterans—as well as first responders—to socialize, drink coffee, and share experiences.
The program is designed to break down isolation, foster camaraderie, and allow peers to easily monitor each other's well-being in an informal "mess hall" atmosphere.
Key features of the program include:
• No registration required: Participants can drop in casually.
• Free refreshments: Coffee, doughnuts, and pastries are often sponsored by local Legion branches or community partners.
• No membership needed: You do not need to be a member of the Legion to attend.
• Inclusive but exclusive: It is exclusively reserved for veterans, serving members, and first responders to ensure attendees feel secure and surrounded by those who understand their service-related experiences
