Vessel Safety Check Day at MarineMax Houston

This is a great opportunity to ensure your boat is properly equipped, compliant with current safety regulations, and ready for a fun and worry-free season on the water.

Certified members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary will be onsite conducting thorough vessel safety checks. Each inspection takes approximately 30 minutes per boat and reviews key safety equipment and federal/state requirements, including life jackets, fire extinguishers, sound-producing devices, navigation lights, and more.

Boaters are welcome to arrive by water or by trailer, making it easy and convenient to participate.

Boats that successfully meet all safety requirements will receive an official Vessel Safety Check decal to display on their vessel. This decal signals to marine law enforcement that your boat has met current safety standards, which may help reduce the likelihood of routine safety stops.
