Join us at Verve for our annual Pulled Pork Competition — a community favorite featuring local chefs, home cooks, and BBQ fanatics battling for the crown. Enjoy a full afternoon of food, fun, and friendly competition right in the heart of Somerville.

$10 at the door (Includes buffet access)

Contestant registration is free, but must be completed online.

Contestant Requirements

To compete, chefs must:

Register online by November 10, 2026

Prepare 10 lbs of pork shoulder crafted into a pulled pork recipe of their choosing

Deliver their completed dish to Verve between 12:30–1:00 PM on competition day

Be ready for judging and public tasting beginning at 2 PM

Additional Details

All dishes must arrive fully cooked and ready to serve

Verve will provide serving pans and buffet setup

Contestants may bring optional garnishes or toppings

Judging includes: flavor, texture, creativity, and crowd response
