Vernissage : Architecture, divertissement, interactivité : Culture Lab

Rejoignez-nous le jeudi 26 février pour le vernissage de l’exposition Architecture, divertissement, interactivité : Culture Lab, Toronto 1991-1994. Conçue à partir du fonds Brian Boigon du CCA, l’exposition revient sur le club rock Rivoli à Toronto et la scène de Queen Street East au début des années 1990 en revisitant l’intervention interdisciplinaire radicale de Boigon sur le design et le discours architectural : Culture Lab. L’exposition réunie des vidéos inédites de ce symposium en douze parties, accompagnées de projets médiatiques connexes afin de repenser ce que signifiait – et signifie encore aujourd’hui -- créer pour des médias en direct et de réseau.

L’exposition sera accessible à partir de 17h et à 18h, dans le Théâtre Paul-Desmarais. Brian Boigon introduira le projet Culture Lab, suivi d’une présentation par le commissaire de l’exposition, Farzin Lofti-Jam, sur sa démarche curatoriale.

Le nombre de places étant limité dans le théâtre, il est recommandé de s'inscrire à la conférence (lien ci-dessous).

Déroulement de la soirée :

17h00 : Ouverture de l’exposition
18h00 : Présentation dans le Théâtre Paul-Desmarais (inscription recommandée)
19h00-21h00 : Célébration dans la maison Shaughnessy

Aucune inscription n’est requise pour accéder à l’exposition ou la célébration dans la maison Shaughnessy.

Join us on 26 February for the opening of Interactive Entertainment Architecture: Culture Lab, Toronto 1991-1994. Drawn from the CCA Brian Boigon fonds, the exhibition returns to Toronto’s Rivoli rock club and Queen Street East in the early 1990s, revisiting the architect’s radical interdisciplinary intervention in design and discourse on architecture: Culture Lab. The exhibition presents unseen videos from this twelve-part symposium with related media projects to reconsider what it meant—and still means—to create for live, networked media.

The exhibition will be open at 5pm and at 6pm, in Paul-Desmarais Theatre, Brian Boigon will introduce the Culture Lab concepts and will be followed by exhibition curator Farzin Lofti-Jam with a presentation of his curatorial approach. As space is limited in the theatre, registration is recommended for the lecture.

Schedule of the evening:

5pm: Exhibition opens
6pm: Presentation begins in the Theatre Paul-Desmarais (Registration recommended)
7-9pm: Celebration in the Shaughnessy House

Registration for access to the exhibition and the celebration in the Shaughnessy House is not required.
