About this Event
Vernal pools are temporary seasonal wetlands filled by snowmelt and spring rains, reaching their peak in early spring before drying by mid-summer. These critical habitats support amphibians, such as frogs and salamanders, that depend on fish-free waters to breed.
Join Ranger Jeremy for an engaging introduction before heading out to explore one of the Nature Center’s vernal pools firsthand. Discover egg masses, amphibians, and the hidden wonders of these fleeting wetlands. Dress to get a little muddy.
