In this down-to-earth workshop, you’ll build your own worm composting bin and learn how these squirmy soil-makers can help you close the loop on food waste.
Whether you're new to composting or ready to level up your soil strategies, this two-hour workshop empowers you to take small, impactful steps toward a healthier local ecosystem. With expert guidance, community support, and a take-home worm bin, you'll leave equipped and inspired to get started.

About Your Facilitator:
Margaux Ranson (she/her) is an Environmental Educator at Oxbow, where she facilitates nature-based workshops, student programs, and tours. Margaux has experience in ecological restoration, science education, and sustainable farming. During her time at the University of Washington, she completed a vermiculture internship at the UW Farm, during which she managed the farm’s vermicomposting system. She is passionate about vermicomposting and is excited to share her experience and knowledge with others.
