Two forces of nature come together in celebration of the 20th Anniversary release of the documentary "Venus of Mars". On this evening No Name Bar will host a very special performance with Venus DeMars & All The Pretty Horses, and Cindy Lawson on Friday 10/24/25. This show will feature the classic lineup of ATPH, and should not be missed. There will be a screening of the Venus of Mars documentary on Thursday 10/23/25 sponsored by the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, with more details to come soon. We HIGHLY recommend attending this as well.

Venus DeMars & All The Pretty Horses
Led by transgender, performance artist Venus de Mars, All The Pretty Horses is a quartet, self-described as "glam-punk." This Minneapolis-based trans-band \[ATPH,\] formed in 1993. Their self-titled debut was issued in 1994. Blending the influences of artists such as David Bowie and Sex Pistols with a dose of heavy, guitar rock and outrageous costumes, into a self-described style called "dark-glam."

Cindy Lawson
Cindy Lawson~ is an American singer-songwriter blending 60s girl group charm with punk rock attitude. After starting her career in Minneapolis in the ’80s with The Clams, she returned in 2021 with a fierce new sound. Her 2022 album New Tricks and 2023 EP Don't Come Crying To Me earned national airplay on Little Steven’s Underground Garage and landed on several year-end best-of lists.
