Vendors: 15th Parkside Health, Safety, & Job Fair Health Is Still Wealth!

Event Overview: The Annual Parkside Health, Safety, & Job Fair, organized by Friends of Parkside, is a prime opportunity for vendors to connect with the community and showcase their services. Held at the Villages at Parkside in Detroit on July 17, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm, this event is designed to promote health, safety, and employment opportunities.

Objectives:

• Health Education and Screenings: Offering free health screenings, consultations, and educational workshops to address prevalent health issues such as diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis. Last year, 92.5% of attendees rated the fair from good to excellent, with 60% attending for health education and 37.5% for health screenings.
• Safety Awareness: Providing resources and information to improve community safety, in collaboration with local health departments and safety organizations.
• Job Opportunities: Connecting attendees with potential employers and providing job readiness workshops, including resume building and interview preparation.
