ABOUT THE TEACHER
Venerable Thubten ChodronVenerable Thubten Chodron is an American Buddhist nun in the Tibetan tradition, ordained in 1977 by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Known for her clear, practical, and compassionate approach to the Dharma, she has inspired countless people around the world to bring Buddhist principles into everyday life. As the founder and abbess of Sravasti Abbey in Washington State, Ven. Chodron has dedicated her life to nurturing a monastic community and sharing authentic teachings suited to the modern world. Author and co-author of many books – including collaborations with the Dalai Lama – she offers profound yet down-to-earth guidance on cultivating compassion, wisdom, and ethical living.
