Velvet Tea Ritual Workshop

On Saturday, May 02, 2026 the LO/URE Project will be hosting their Velvet Rouge Tea Ritual workshop from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at Summer and Sage!

This will be a 2-hour experience focused on tea as ancestral medicine and water as a vessel of communication. The workshop draws from African diasporic herbal traditions and LO/URE’s framework of the body as a living archive, creating space for participants to engage in embodied listening, gentle reflection, and lineage-based inquiry.

The selected herbs—hibiscus and rose—are chosen for their long-standing relationships to heart memory, blood, circulation, beauty, protection, and feminine-centered healing traditions across the African diaspora and beyond. The blend holds space for softness, strength, and ancestral continuity.

The workshop is designed for an intimate group, with a participant maximum of 15.
