Welcome the Witching Season
As October twilight deepens and the veil between worlds thins, we gather at Herb & Smudge Apothecary to welcome the witching season under the shroud of a grand autumn masquerade. This sacred time marks a portal of transition, mystery, and community revelry—a day to conceal everyday faces, browse our botanical sanctuary, and step into shadow.
To honor this magical threshold, we invite you to put on your finest mask and step into Veil of the Raven: A Gothic Autumn Masquerade. Bring a dish to share, conceal your identity, and gather with us for an afternoon of feast, dance, and community spirit. As part of this seasonal gathering, we are also honored to raise funds during the event for a beloved local treasure: The Spellbound Dancing Witches!
Masquerade Entry & Mask Guidelines
Unveil Your October Vibe!
Masks are required to cross the threshold, but there are no strict rules—get creative and show off your personal masquerade style! Whether you wear sleek black lace, ornate Victorian filigree, feathered raven creations, or macabre skulls, all masks are welcome. Wear your mask through the door to receive a free entry ticket for our Grand Masquerade Door Prize!
Master Event Schedule
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: The Coven Harvest Table
Community potluck feast at the apothecary! Bring a dish or potion to share. Masked guests receive their free 5:00 PM Door Prize entry ticket upon arrival.
3:30 PM: Featured Guest Performance
Live performance by The Spellbound Dancing Witches!
4:15 PM: Charity Raffle Drawing
Raffle drawing for the donated Spooktacular Grab Bags! 100% of proceeds from this drawing directly benefit The Spellbound Dancing Witches (501c3).
5:00 PM: Grand Door Prize & Mask Contest
Drawing for the Grand Halloween Grab Bag (masked entry) and announcement of the Best Mask contest winners!
Call for Business Grab Bag Donations
As part of our event, Herb & Smudge Apothecary is accepting Spooktacular Grab Bags and gift bundles to help raise funds for The Spellbound Dancing Witches (501c3 non-profit).
Local businesses, artisans, and makers are invited to contribute a themed Spooktacular Grab Bag for the charity raffle! Tuck your business cards, flyers, coupons, or merchandise inside to showcase your brand to our community while supporting a great cause.
Drop-offs accepted at the shop through Friday, October 16th.
