*optional 7:45am start time for pre-class video in person

  • Pre-class video (Approx 1 hr) Choose one: a link will be emailed to watch ahead of time or you can attend early on Thursday to watch in-person

Site Evaluation & Hands On Maintenance Practice:

  • Friday, Jan. 29, 2027 (9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), CCC Campus and nearby sites around Oregon City. Transportation provided.

*Alternate Adverse Weather Date: In the event of adverse weather conditions, the Site Evaluation & Practice portion of class on Jan. 29th may need to be rescheduled. Please block off the following times in your calendar in case rescheduling is necessary: Feb 5th (Fri) 9:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Workshop Description:

This workshop will provide an overview of vegetated stormwater facilities (bioswales, raingardens, etc.), how they function, management considerations, and strategies for long-term viability. Participants will learn about regulatory requirements, such as record-keeping and inspections, and learn how to evaluate and properly maintain the plants and other system components. The intended audience includes landscapers, regulatory inspectors and public works/stormwater maintenance personnel. The field portion of class includes practice inspecting a facility, identifying problems, record-keeping and communication with the customer. Note: Be prepared- Field portion may involve walking off trail or on uneven or slippery surfaces.

Snacks are provided. Please bring a sack lunch.

Professional Credit:
Clackamas Community College, 1.5 CEU; 1.5 CEH; Award of Completion will be provided.

Cancellations are allowed up to 1-day prior to the start of class, however, refund amounts vary based on when you notify us of your cancellation.

• >14 days prior to event: Full refund, excluding Eventbrite fees

• 1-14 days prior to event: 50% refund
