Veg Growers Circle: Seasonal Vegetable Growing Course (4 Workshops)
About this Event
Veg Growers Circle: Seasonal workshops for growing your own veg
Let’s be honest, lots of veg growing courses try to teach you everything in a single day: seed sowing, soil, pests, planting, harvesting, the lot. It’s interesting, it’s inspiring… but by the time August rolls around, you’re standing in your garden wondering: is that plant a courgette, a pumpkin, or just a very confident W**d?
And all that really helpful advice you soaked up back in early spring? Somehow, now all seems rather hazy.
That’s why we do things differently. Join our Veg Growers Circle for four hands-on sessions, timed to guide you through the veg growing year. We’ll show you what to do - and when to do it -from your first spring sowing right through to your last winter harvest.
Together we’ll cover things like:
• Preparing beds and soil
• Sowing seeds and raising sturdy little plants
• Planting out and keeping crops happy
• Managing weeds, pests without losing your mind
• Harvesting before things bolt, rot, or become marrows the size of a cricket bat
Hosted in a working market garden, you’ll see what’s being sown, planted and harvested throughout the year. What’s thriving, and sometimes of course, what’s not going to plan! It’s a chance to learn from a real working growing space rather than just theory.
You’ll get regular opportunities to compare notes, ask plenty of questions, and as we move through the year, generally confirm that whatever's happening in your garden or allotment isn’t completely bonkers. Think of it as a seasonal sanity check for vegetable growers.
Veg growers Circle is for anyone who wants to make 2026 the year they experience the quiet joy of growing their own food- whether that’s in a garden, allotment, raised bed, or a heroic collection of containers. Suitable for beginners, returning growers, and anyone whose gardening strategy so far has mostly involved hope.
