On December 19th from 6-9pm at Tuscan Prime, and with a very special cause in mind, Veezy Coffman will be doing a fundraiser performance with all of her earnings (both commissioned and tips) being donated to the Leukemia Research Foundation. Come support the cause!Leukemia is a cancer that originates in the bone marrow, leading to deadly increases in white blood cell counts. Rapid and excessive white blood cell growth crowds out your red blood cells and prevents those red bloods from effectively fighting off the bad stuff. While there are treatments for Leukemia, there is no definitive cure for it. Leukemia survivors who go into remission still are at an increased risk of developing cancer again later, not to mention the risks of surviving a first round of cancer.
The Leukemia Research Foundation is constantly developing research programs, such as their New Investigator Research Grant Program, to find a cure. For their 2025-2027 research block, The Leukemia Research Foundation provided grants to 13 new investigators who are now on the same mission as the rest of the Foundation: find a cure.
