Commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day at Wicksteed ParkJoin us in the Terrace Suite at Wicksteed Park on 8th May 2025 for a special evening of remembrance and celebration as we mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
Enjoy a High Tea, a captivating film screening, and the lighting of a beacon in tribute to this significant day.
Indulge in handmade cakes, sandwiches, and pastries prepared by the talented students at Tresham College.
The evening will also feature a special screening of the short film ‘The Day the Americans Came’, produced by the UK Film School. This poignant film highlights the experiences of local people and their interactions with American soldiers stationed in Kettering during World War II.
All proceeds will benefit the Wicksteed Charitable Trust (Registered Charity Number: 1142103).
Date: 8th May 2025 Time: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Cost: £10 per person
Schedule:
5:00 pm: Doors open with drinks available and a small exhibition
6:00 pm: High Tea will be served
6:30 pm: Film screening will begin
7:30 pm: Film will end, followed by beacon lighting
7:45 pm – 9:00 pm: Drinks and music to close the evening
