The beacon in the Peace Park will be lit at 9.30pm to coincide with the other lightings taking place across the country to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day. In attendance will be the Chairman of Thrapston Town Council, Chairman of the Thrapston branch of the Royal British Legion and Deputy Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, Mr Guy Schanschieff MBE.
Thrapston Town Band will also be performing.
