The Virginia Creeper Trail has faced significant challenges since Hurricane Helene, but thanks to the dedication of many partners, volunteers, and agencies, restoration efforts are moving forward. Join us on Thursday, July 16 at 6:00 PM at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon to hear the latest updates.
We're honored to welcome guest speakers:
✔️ Luke Silvus, Kiewit
✔️ Ed Wright, U.S. Forest Service
✔️ Dennis Sanders, VDOT & U.S. Forest Service
They'll share insights on recovery progress, upcoming restoration work, and the long-term vision for keeping the Virginia Creeper Trail safe, accessible, and resilient for generations to come.
Before the presentations, the Conservancy will hold its annual membership meeting, including updates on current initiatives, future projects, and opportunities to get involved.
