VCS Strategy Refresh: Grants & Investment

The Council’s Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) Strategy is being refreshed. The current strategy was purposefully high level, taking a long-term view whilst visioning the sector’s future and exploring what is needed to continue to thrive. This means that much of what was identified through the extensive engagement undertaken remains relevant today. However some things have changed e.g. as a result of the Pandemic, and this refresh provides an opportunity to reflect on these and what needs to be included in the strategy.

Council officers are planning a number of sessions to help develop a shared understanding of the new context and what we have learnt together over the past few years. The refreshed strategy will then inform the design of a new grants programme for 2025/26 onwards.
