About this Event
VCE, VCE VET and VCE VM art and design students are invited to MPRG for a folio supercharging with a full day of inspiration, expert guidance and practical development. With MPRG currently showing Michael Vale’s major exhibition The Cuckoo, the Herring, and the Trembling Tambourines students will work in the gallery space with Michael, generating ideas and visual strategies inspired by his richly imaginative works and creative process.
You’ll be guided through Eleesa Howard’s exhibition, and our 2026 VCE exhibition New Wave by MPRG Creative Learning Officer Amanda Shone, and industry experts from Deakin University and Chisholm Institute will share what they look for in strong folios, discuss creative pathways, and share tips on how to confidently speak about your work.
Students will have the rare opportunity to engage in one‑on‑one sessions with these experts—ask questions, get personalised feedback, refine ideas, and learn new tools to elevate your folio.
