We spend so much of our lives wearing labels - titles given to us by our jobs, our families, or even our own inner critics. But what happens when we strip all of that away? For this year's retreat, we're stepping away from the world's noise to rediscover who we truly are. Jesus uses beautiful, unexpected imagery to describe our connection to Him - names that offer deep insight into our purpose and His heart. Join us as we trade our self-made definitions for the glorious identity He has already spoken over us.
Our speaker:
Donna is a teacher and author who has spent over 25 years on the faculty of Torrey Honors College at Biola University. She teaches and writes on biblical and theological studies, discipleship, church life, marriage, and parenting. Donna has contributed to serveral major works, including the "ESV Women's Study Bible" and the forthcoming "Applying the Gospel Study Bible for Women." She and her high school sweetheart, Erik, have been married for 37 years and are the proud parents of four adopted children. When she isn't teaching or writing, you might find Donna hiking, playing pickleball, or enjoying a cup of English Breakfast tea with her Golden Retrievers nearby.
