The Virginia Association of School Social Workers (VASSW) is excited to invite proposals for presentations at our 2026 State Conference, taking place October 26–27, 2026 in Fairfax, VA!
✨ Conference Theme:
Rooted in Purpose, Focused on the Future: 40 Years of Supporting Students, Families, and Schools
We are seeking dynamic presenters to share innovative practices, research, and strategies that support student success and strengthen the role of school social work. Whether you’re working in schools, mental health, community partnerships, or advocacy, we want to hear from you!
📚 Topics may include (but are not limited to):
• School-based mental health
• Trauma-informed practices
• Equity and access in education
• Family and community engagement
• Special education and student support services
• Emerging trends and best practices in school social work
