A night of comedy, music and laughter awaits at Variety Night at Whitby Pavilion Theatre.Acts from various genres and eras are lined up to amuse and entertain, all for one night only!

Entertainers include:
Singer, dancer, actor, and all round entertainer specialising in period music and entertainment, introducing JOHNNY VICTORY!
Music Hall dominated the theatre of the East-End from the late 1800s to 1920s, so “Let’s all go down the Strand”, Johnny will be reliving this era with a selection of sing-a-long music hall favourites and movie music set in the East End.
Also appearing are DOOMFOLK, a theatrical group of musicians from Whitby, led by singer Karen McCarthy, who create original and entertaining contemporary folk music.
Doomfolk songs are a little in the style of Nick Cave, or Leonard Cohen, or kletzmer music, and like all of those, contain humour amid the darkness.
Making their first appearance at Whitby Pavilion after a number of years away are the DOLLOP OF TROLLOP, who are a bold female vocal group, delighting audiences with their cheeky repertoire of traditional bawdy songs.
With playful story telling and fearless flair, Dollop of Trollop prove that a little naughtiness - served with style, goes a long way!
Special Guests and International Festival Favourites THE ANTIPOET are Paul Eccentric and Ian Newman, and together are the world's finest exponents of beatrantin' rhythm 'n views!
Having become somewhat successful over the last decade, they have tirelessly toured the poetry, comedy and music circuits and have appeared at countless festivals including, Glastonbury, Bestival, Camp Bestival, Edinburgh, Brighton, Rebellion, Whitby, Lake Fest and Larmer Tree Festivals.
Pulling it all together in his own unique and amusing way is our fabulous Master of Ceremonies Mr. Paul Eccentric, the Acclaimed Artist, Musician, Poet, Writer and Raconteur.
There will be one or two surprises during the evening’s entertainment, and we look forward to performing for you!
