Are you a little curious about Woodstock, the town, before the artists arrived in 1903? Vanishing Village, written by Will Rose, is an incredibly warm recollection from the point of view of a young lad who grew up with a front row seat to many aspects of everyday life in the rural village of Woodstock, N.Y.
Vanishing Village, the first chapter, a short film narrated by noted voice actor Lewis Arlt will be presented Saturday November 1, 2025 from 3-4 PM, at the Historical Society of Woodstock 20 Comeau Drive.
The film includes images of the streetscapes of Woodstock as it looked in the early 20th century.
The film was co-produced by Janine Fallon Mower with the assistance of Richard Heppner town historian and Jeff Keithline, HSW board member.
Q and A will follow the showing of the film. Refreshments will be served
Suggested donation $ 20.00 ( which includes a copy of Vanishing Village, the book, written by Will Rose.)
Parking is limited at the Eames House, if able, please park in the Lower Comeau Lot and walk up the path.
