Imagine a golden paradise - a space of eternal light - a place of rest at the end of one’s journey on earth. The idea of Paradise can also be under threat as it can represent our environment, our being, and enchantment with our world. The Vancouver Cantata Singers invite you to join them for In Paradisum - the first concert of their 25/26 season AURUM, where they explore ideas of gold,
choirs of angels, and the destructive powers of iron. With the Vaughan Williams Mass in G minor as a centrepiece, this program features Veljo Tormis’ Raua needmine (Curse Upon Iron), Eric Whitacre’s Nox Arumque and Christine Donkin’s In Paradisum.
