About this Event
Vamos Habibi!
Join us for our Vamos Habibi versus concept. Every party will highlight two of your favorite artists from Latin America and the Middle East. As the cross pollination of Arabic and Latin music continues to evolve and grow, we are excited to push the boundaries of both genres while still honoring their unique traditions. Our first party will showcase two global musical juggernauts. Join us for Saad Lamjarred VS Myke Towers! Who will come out on top?
Arabic and Latin often feature syncopated beats, polyrhythms, and complex percussion arrangements that create a vibrant and energetic sound. Both traditions place a strong emphasis on melody, with ornate melodic lines that are often influenced by improvisation. This focus on melody allows for expressive performances and emotional depth that are perfect for dancing to.

Saad Lamjarred was born to Bachir Abdou, a Moroccan classical singer, and Nezha Regragui, an actress and comedian.

Lamjarred then went on to study at the Conservatory of Music in Rabat, where he studied music, art theory and dance. He would perform many productions wherein he would collaborate with his father.
Lamjarred moved to the US in 2001 and cites this as one of the main sources of inspiration for his music, crediting the experience for exposing him to western music and having a defining effect on his style and the type of artist he wanted to identify as.
