Book now in honor of Women's History Month, and celebrate the start of Jazz Appreciation Month on U Street at our special edition tour: Women of Black Broadway.
Here’s what you can expect:
– Duration: 90-minute woman-led tour through the historic U Street Corridor and LeDroit Park.
– Explore the contributions of notable women from the jazzy Black Broadway scene in DC.
- Sightsee cherry blossoms during peak bloom
– Learn about writers, educators, singers, and entertainers who shaped DC and beyond.
– Discover historical events from the Post Emancipation Era and Civil Rights Movement.
– Guests will learn about Civil Rights leaders Anna Julia Cooper, Mary Church Terrell, Dorothy Height, Mary McCleod Bethune, and more impactful African American women.
There will be time during the tour to be interactive and ask questions.
