Friday 19th September - 5:30 to 8:30pm - North East Valley Community Centre (270 North Rd) - Free
5:30–7:00 pm: Beyond Basics
A refresher session for dancers already familiar with English Country Dance who want to brush up and trigger their memory of the dances. Experienced dancers are warmly encouraged to stay for the Absolute Beginners class afterward, helping to welcome and support newcomers.
7:30–8:30 pm: Absolute Beginners
Perfect for those new to dance! This fun and supportive class offers a gentle introduction to the elegance and charm of English Country Dance. No prior experience is needed — every step will be clearly explained so you can dance with confidence. Bring your enthusiasm and discover the joy of Austen-style dancing, tailored especially for beginners.
Newcomers are encouraged to come early and watch more experience dancers in the Beyond Basics Workshop.
Additional Details:
• Please bring comfortable shoes for dancing.
• We will share potluck snacks during the evening — contributions are welcome but not required.
• This workshop is an ideal way to prepare for the upcoming Pastel Ball!
