At Valley Center Youth Wrestling, our mission goes beyond wins, losses, and medals. We're committed to instilling discipline, hard work, and perseverance while helping young athletes develop confidence, character, leadership, and a sense of belonging.
There's a place for every athlete at VCYW! 🤼
We offer different levels of training to meet athletes where they are, whether they're stepping onto the mat for the first time or preparing for competition.
🐾 Littles & Movement: Introduction to wrestling through movement, coordination, balance, body awareness, games, and foundational skills.
🤼 Youth Recreational / Noncompetitive: Fundamental wrestling techniques, skill development, conditioning, confidence, and overall athletic development.
🏆 Competitive Wrestlers: Extended practice focused on technical development, drilling, live wrestling, conditioning, and competition preparation.
💙 Adaptive & Inclusive Wrestling / Athletes with Special Needs: We believe every athlete deserves the opportunity to experience the benefits of wrestling. We welcome athletes with physical, developmental, intellectual, and other unique needs, working with families to understand individual abilities, challenges, and goals. Through adapted instruction, patience, encouragement, and individualized support, we strive to create an environment where athletes can develop coordination, confidence, independence, social connections, and a sense of accomplishment at their own pace.
And we're so much more than regular wrestling practices!

Through our Fierce & Fearless Female initiative, we're also dedicated to expanding opportunities for girls in wrestling through specialized clinics, mentorship, leadership development, and support both on and off the mat.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and Wrestle Like A Girl club, we believe opportunities in sports should be accessible, inclusive, and focused on developing the whole athlete.
Our goal isn't simply to teach wrestling techniques or develop champions. It's to help every athlete discover their strengths, overcome challenges, build meaningful connections, and recognize their own potential.
Whether you're looking for a place to begin, grow, compete, volunteer, or give back, we'd love to welcome you into our wrestling family!
Building strong athletes. Fierce leaders. A stronger community.
