Vallejo: Community Tree Planting Day

About this event

Join Genesis House, Sustainable Solano and the Vallejo Youth Air Protectors to help plant trees, improve air quality and expand Fairfield's green spaces.

We will be planting trees at Genesis to beautify the garden, purify polluted air, create shade, and provide a barrier along the highway.

Participants will also have the opportunity to share about the locations and resources they love in Vallejo in a mapping exercise that helps build community resilience!

Lunch and other refreshments will be provided.

The Vallejo Youth Air Protectors Program is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Invest, formerly known as Cap-and-Trade, dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment — particularly in disadvantaged communities.
