Skip the crowded restaurants this Valentine’s Day and do something unforgettable.We’re hosting a strenuous but supportive group hike to the summit of Mount Diablo. Couples are encouraged to come together, singles are absolutely welcome, and everyone is invited to enjoy a day of fresh air, movement, and real connection.
We’re a happily married couple with five kids who started hiking on Saturdays to preserve our sanity in the middle of busy family life. Somewhere along the trail, hiking became our favorite way to reconnect. It strengthened our bodies, cleared our minds, and deepened our relationship in ways date nights never quite did.
This hike is about moving forward together.
What to expect
• A challenging, full-day hike with significant elevation gain
• A steady, sustainable pace (this is NOT a race)
• Breaks for water, snacks, photos, and conversation
• A welcoming, low-pressure group vibe
Important details
• Meet time: 7:15 AM (we will be on the trail by 7:30)
• This is a strenuous hike. Please know your personal fitness level and be confident you can handle a long day on the trail.
• Everyone hikes at their own risk.
• Bring your own water, snacks, layers, and any supplies you personally need.
