Pottery is not just an art form—it’s a transformative experience that promotes self-care, mindfulness, and stress relief. Whether you’re looking to spark your creativity, bond with loved ones, or simply enjoy a unique night out, this pottery workshop is the perfect activity.

Come solo, with a friend, or make it a creative date night with your significant other. Crafting with clay is a wonderful way to reconnect, recharge, and feel inspired.

What to Expect:
In this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn hand-building pottery techniques to create a one-of-a-kind decorative or functional clay vessel. With step-by-step guidance from our skilled instructor, you’ll learn to shape, mold, and design your clay piece using a variety of tools to bring your vision to life.

Enjoy a selection of wine, beer, cocktail snacks, pastries, and non-alcoholic beverages while you create.

What’s Included:

• 2-hour instructor-led class suitable for beginners and experienced creators.
• All materials provided, including clay, tools, and aprons.
• Two firings (bisque and glaze) and glazing of your creation in the color of your choice.
• Complimentary wine, non-alcoholic drinks, crackers, cheese, and pastries.
• Studio technician support for processing and glazing your piece.

Price: $110 per person

After the Workshop:
Your pottery will go through a multi-step process to become a finished piece:

1. Your clay creation will dry to a "bone-dry" state.
2. It will be bisque-fired in our kiln.
3. A studio technician will glaze your piece with the color you choose.
4. The final glaze firing will complete the process.

Timeline for Completion: Please allow 2–4 weeks for processing. You’ll receive a courtesy text when your piece is ready for pickup.

Important Note:
Finished pieces will be stored for up to two weeks after your first notification. You’ll receive up to two reminder textsbefore unclaimed pieces are donated.

About Mercado Art Studio
Located in the heart of Hallandale Beach, Mercado Art Studio has been a creative haven for the community for over two years, with five additional years of history in Downtown Hollywood.

What We Offer:

• One-time beginner classes for wheel throwing, hand-building, pottery painting, and mosaic projects.
• Four- and eight-week courses for those wanting a deeper dive into pottery.
• Monthly memberships with unlimited studio access and personal storage lockers.
• Firing services for your personal clay creations.
• A retail shop offering finished works by our members, as well as clay and tools for purchase.

With plenty of free parking in front and behind the studio, and a convenient location just east of I-95, visiting us is easy and stress-free.

Cancellation Policy:
Life happens, and we understand! Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule your class.
