When Johnny Valentine III’s grandfather, Giovanni Valentino invented a process where chocolate would be resistant to melting in one’s hand, yet still maintain the velvety texture and taste of fine chocolate, he was able to launch a chocolate company that has blossomed into an extremely successful operation from the 1920’s to the new millennium. The formula has been a closely guarded secret, passed down by tradition from one generation to the next, to the present day. This formula is as guarded as the Colonel’s chicken recipe and is the envy of every chocolatier in the industry. Many would love to get their hands on that formula and use it to start their own chocolate company. Sadly for them, no one but Johnny Valentine himself knows where the formula is or what its contents are. He has made arrangements for that information to pass on to his daughter, Gina, just as his grandfather passed it on to his father, who passed it on to him. With a name like Valentine, and despite the infamous “Massacre” of so many years ago, Valentine's Day is a particular favorite of the family business, and Johnny is holding his annual Valentine's Day party. Unfortunately, not all in attendance are in a heart-loving mindset.
