we are back again for the 3rd year at our new home, Berkeley town football field. for those who don't know about us we run a small strongman and women's event to raise money for a chosen charity, the event is for fun and there is no winnings only pride and your name on our trophy.
there will be a raffle on the day and food being served, keep your eyes on our page for any updates.
we offer sponsorship and advertising on the day for business, all money raised will go to charity and some will be kept to hpe fund the next event.
classes and events are as follows, men's and women's ( at an intermediate level) and men and women beginners ( for those starting out or just want to give it a go with no pressure)
Event 1: Behind the neck press ( beginners-standing military press)
this will be round robin style with 4 rounds, weight will increase each round.
Event 2: barrel toss
5 barrels of varying sizes to be thrown over a bar
Event 3: Dinnie stone ccarry (beginners- farmers handles)
2 unequal stones to be carried of a distance
beginners- 2 weighted handles to be carried over distance
event 4: Atlas stones (beginners- sand bag over bar)
5 increasing weight atlas stones over a bar
event 5: lorry pull (beginners- car recovery van)
lorry to be pulled by harness of a set distance.
Event 6: Deadlift
men's bar- square grip
women's- axel
beginners- olympic bar
as many reps in the time allowed.
times and weights to be confirmed, please get in touch if interested, we will be running training days leading up to the time.
please keep in mind that this is a charity event mainly for fun and raise money for charity, we will refuse entrance if we believe you are using this for personal gains in strongman.
