While many of us realize the importance of weather for renewable energy, the sun needs to shine and the wind needs to blow, right? Behind these simple notions, the science and art of weather forecasting, metrology, and instruments play a critical role in renewable energy siting, optimizing operations, and forecasting for reliable grid management. Join us for a fun networking event and tour at Vaisala’s US headquarters in Louisville to learn more about the role measuring and forecasting the weather plays in optimizing renewable energy plant production and managing renewables both at the local and regional level.
The event will start off with networking with snacks and beverages at 6 pm, followed by a short overview of Vaisala and how advanced weather solutions help manage renewable energy production, a tour of Vaisala’s instrument garden to see the technology in action, and then wrap up with more networking.
The event will be at Vaisala's campus at 152 South Taylor Ave, Louisville, CO 80027. We will be in the north building closest to the instrument garden.
ABOUT OUR SPEAKER
Jeffrey Gawrych is Head of Sales – Renewable Energy at Vaisala, where he leads business operations and strategic initiatives for the North American energy sector. With over 15 years of experience spanning technical sales, meteorology, and renewable energy consulting, Jeffrey has played a key role in advancing wind energy projects across the globe—from data-driven assessments to successful project financing. His background includes pivotal roles at The Weather Company (IBM), Salient Predictions, and V-Bar LLC, where he contributed to cutting-edge remote sensing, GIS integration, and resource modeling for wind development. Jeffrey holds an M.S. in Meteorology and is a passionate advocate for clean energy innovation.
Vaisala provides advanced environmental measurement and forecasting solutions to support the renewable energy sector, particularly wind and solar power.
