A summer kids’ event called Tropical Trek will be hosted at First Baptist Church at 340 North 13th Street, Leavenworth, KS from July 7-11, 2025, beginning at 6 PM and ending at 8 PM. Register each child through our website at First Baptist Church | Home.
Tropical Trek is for kids from age 3 to 5th Grade (3-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent and potty trained) and we will be offering a meal each night beginning at 5:15 PM. Friday night will be family night, and we will begin by having a family dinner starting at 5:15 PM. For more information, call 913-682-4426.
Grab your backpack and get ready to embark on a Tropical Trek where kids will learn how Jesus came to seek and save the lost based on Luke 19:10! As kids travel to fun and exciting places, like a dormant volcano and island caves, they'll discover how God finds us and helps us in every challenge we face in life.
Diving deep through five Bible stories will show kids that God is always there for them, finding them when they're having troubles, feeling lonely, lost, hopeless, or not good enough. In fact, God the Father loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus to save us. Because Jesus died and rose to life, we have hope and new life in Him!
At the end of each night, everyone will gather for the closing, family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 7:45 PM.
Kids at Tropical Trek will join a mission's effort by collecting an offering for Echo Ranch Bible Camp in Juneau, Alaska.
