About Dr. Marcus Borges
Dr. Marcus Borges, MD, MBA, BCNM is a distinguished MD Physician with over 25 years of experience, combining deep expertise in medicine with a robust entrepreneurial spirit. A former Lieutenant in the Brazilian Army, he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds a full MBA from FGV. His post-doctoral training at UMDNJ/Rutgers in New Jersey and Board Certification in Naturopathic Medicine underscore his commitment to both traditional and integrative approaches to healthcare.
Dr. Borges has a rich international background, having worked on a scientific project at RWTH-Aachen in Germany, sponsored by The Rockefeller Foundation and WHO. He has held high-level executive positions, including LatAm Regional Manager for Merck Serono and Head of the Medical Department at Glenmark Pharma. Additionally, he served as a technical director of various hospitals and a Health Insurance Corporation.
As the CEO of Oxpher, based in Utah, Dr. Borges is at the helm of a company that facilitates the entry of international businesses into the U.S. market. His entrepreneurial portfolio extends to co-owning four other companies, showcasing his versatility and business acumen. His extensive professional network spans the U.S., Latin America, Europe, and global opinion leaders in both industry and academia.
An adjunct professor at Ensign College, Dr. Borges has imparted knowledge of Medical Laboratory Procedures, Anatomy & Physiopathology, Nutrition, and Leadership & Human Behavior. In Brazil, he continues to contribute to postgraduate education.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Borges is a sought-after speaker, participating in international congresses, business meetings, and media engagements. He co-authored a chapter in a scientific book, further demonstrating his commitment to advancing medical knowledge.
