UvaldeRadio.net Celebrates 7 Years with Star-Studded Concert and New Downtown Studio Launch
Aubry Rodriguez, Jeff Jacobs Band, and Garrett Talamantes to perform at Historic Uvalde Grand Opera House on August 1; Ribbon-cutting set for new "fishbowl" studio.
UVALDE, Texas (July 2026) — UvaldeRadio.net will celebrate seven years of serving Uvalde County and listeners around the world with a special anniversary concert on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the historic Uvalde Grand Opera House, bringing together three standout country artists for an evening that honors both the region's musical heritage and its future.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with music beginning at 7:00 p.m. The all-ages concert will take place at the Uvalde Grand Opera House, 104 W. North St., Uvalde, Texas.
The lineup features Aubry Rodriguez, The Jeff Jacobs Band, and opening performer Garrett Talamantes.
Advanced reserved seating is available for $7, while premium reserved seating is $17. Day-of-show ticket prices increase to $10 and $20, respectively.
Presented by The Tex Elliott Family, Medina Electric Cooperative, Visit Uvalde County, and Edwards Furniture, the concert serves as both a birthday celebration for UvaldeRadio.net and a showcase of the Texas artists the station has championed since its launch in 2019.
The evening's feature artist, Aubry Rodriguez, returns to her family's roots in Uvalde County carrying on a remarkable musical legacy while forging one of her own. Now based in Nashville, Rodriguez has earned multiple CMA of Texas awards and recently made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage. As the daughter of country music legend Johnny Rodriguez, her performance at the historic Opera House carries special significance, connecting a new generation of Texas country music with one of the area's most celebrated musical families.
"Uvalde, we're making a splash on August 1st! I am so excited to be back in Texas and to play the Uvalde Opera House with the Jeff Jacobs Band. Any chance I get to play in my home state is an absolute treasure," Rodriguez said. "I simply cannot praise and thank Robert Miguel and the entire Uvalde Radio team enough. The support and love they have shown to both me and my musical career has been nothing short of incredible. Even though I am proud to be my father's daughter and carry on his legacy, the Uvalde Radio team encourages who I am as an individual—and words can't express how thankful I am for that. Looking forward to celebrating some good old country music! Happy 7th Birthday, Uvalde Radio!"
Joining Rodriguez is the Jeff Jacobs Band, one of South Texas' premier live acts. Based in San Antonio, the band has built a loyal following with its blend of original Texas Country and Red Dirt music alongside rock and country favorites. Since forming in 2012, the group has toured throughout Texas and across the United States, including a headlining performance at the 2021 Uvalde Honey Festival. Their hit single, "Can't Get Her Out of My Head," boasts 250,000 streams on Spotify.
"I'm super excited to be part of Uvalde Radio's seven-year anniversary," said Jeff Jacobs. "Robert and the team have been with me through thick and thin of my music career and have always supported me, so I'm definitely happy to give back. Sharing the stage with Aubry Rodriguez is going to be a night to remember. Can't wait for August 1st. See y'all there."
Opening the concert is Carrizo Springs native Garrett Talamantes, a Texas A&M University student, collegiate rodeo athlete, and emerging Texas singer-songwriter. Blending traditional country, Texas music, rock, pop, and Spanish classics into his signature "singing cowboy" style, Talamantes represents the next generation of Southwest Texas performers.
According to UvaldeRadio.net founder Robert Miguel, the lineup reflects both the station's musical identity and its long-standing commitment to supporting artists at every stage of their careers.
"I am so excited to celebrate seven years of serving Uvalde County and our many listeners from across Texas and around the world with a concert that truly showcases some of the best country music our region has to offer," Miguel said.
"Aubry will be making her Uvalde debut at a venue where her father once played, and the community is already excited to experience this incredible legacy performance. Jeff has been a longtime friend of UvaldeRadio.net since our launch in 2019, and we're thrilled to welcome his band to the historic Opera House stage for the first time. Jeff's versatility across country, rock, and pop perfectly represents what our stations do every day. It's a natural fit. And Garrett represents something we're especially proud of—the future of Southwest Texas music. At such a young age, he has already accomplished so much, and there's no doubt he is a rising star in the Texas Country and Red Dirt scene."
The anniversary celebration also marks another major milestone for UvaldeRadio.net as the station officially opens its new downtown broadcast studio.
"As if this concert lineup wasn't exciting enough, we're also celebrating our seventh anniversary by moving into a new downtown Uvalde studio," Miguel said. "I've been looking for the right location for years—one of those classic fishbowl-style studios in our historic district—and we've finally found it."
Beginning August 1, UvaldeRadio.net will broadcast from its new home at 221 N. Getty Street, just north of the Opera House.
"Our new location is right in the heart of downtown Uvalde, where visiting artists can experience the best our community has to offer, city leaders and nonprofit organizations can easily stop by to share announcements, and our valued sponsors can pop in for a quick plug. I've been waiting years to make this move, and seven truly is our lucky number."
Earlier that day, the public is invited to attend the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new studio in partnership with the Uvalde Area Chamber of Commerce at 12:00 noon.
Listeners can also tune in to UvaldeRadio.net Country leading up to the concert for opportunities to win free concert tickets and exclusive meet-and-greet passes with the performers.
Since launching in 2019, UvaldeRadio.net has grown into one of Southwest Texas' leading locally owned digital media outlets, providing around-the-clock music programming while delivering local news, community information, live event coverage, high school sports, and original entertainment programming.
