Helsingin yliopiston professorit pitävät uudessa tehtävässään tervetuliaisluennon. Luennot ovat yleistajuisia johdatuksia professorien omaan tieteenalaan ja ajankohtaisiin tutkimuskysymyksiin.
Tule oppimaan lajien vuorovaikutuksesta ja käsikirurgian kehityksestä!
24 uutta professoria pitävät juhlaluentonsa keskiviikkona 3.12.2025 yliopiston päärakennuksella (Fabianinkatu 33, vaatesäilytys: Aleksanterinkatu 5) klo 14.30 alkaen.
Luentopäivän jälkeen yliopiston juhlasalissa klo 17.00 alkavassa tervetuliaisjuhlassa oman juhlaluentonsa pitää Venäjän turvallisuuspolitiikan professori Katri Pynnöniemi. Iltajuhlan ohjelmassa on lisäksi musiikkia ja kansleri Kaarle Hämerin puhe uusille professoreille.
Yleisö on iltajuhlan jälkeen tervetullut osallistumaan päärakennuksen lämpiöissä järjestettävälle vastaanotolle.
Juhlaluentoja voi tulla kuuntelemaan siisteissä arkivaatteissa.
Iltatilaisuuden yleisön toivotaan ottavan pukeutumisessa huomioon tilaisuuden juhlavan luonteen.
Luennot myös striimataan, mutta niitä ei tallenneta.

As they take up their new role, each professor at the University of Helsinki holds a public inaugural lecture.
Twenty-four newly appointed professors of the University of Helsinki will give their inaugural lectures on Wednesday, 3 Dec 2025, starting at 14.30.
The lectures take place in the University’s Main Building (Fabianinkatu 33, cloakroom: Aleksanterinkatu 5) and the public can watch the lectures also via live stream (Unitube or Zoom Webinar).
The lectures serve as popular introductions to the professors’ fields of science and current research issues.
The inauguration ceremony will begin at 17.00 in the Great Hall. The programme includes a speech by Chancellor Kaarle Hämeri, musical performances and introductions of the new professors. In addition, the inauguration ceremony will feature an inaugural lecture by Professor of Russian security policy Katri Pynnöniemi.
The dress code for the audience is casual.
In the evening session, the audience attire is expected to suit the solemn nature of the event.
Lectures will also be live streamed but will not be recorded.
