"Reframing the Narrative of Cowboy Culture in the American West."

Join us for an afternoon recital featuring soprano Leah Hollingshead and collaborative pianist Maggie Hinchliffe! Their repertoire includes Libby Larsen’s Cowboy Songs, a compilation of Copland art songs, a song cycle titled “Songs From the End of the Frontier” by Tejano composer Alex Shawver that premiered in spring 2024, and arrangements of Mexican ranchera music.

Leah Hollingshead is currently a program specialist with UTRGV ARTS.
