F-1 follows four international students from 2020 to 2023 as they navigate the challenges of the pandemic while pursuing a shared dream: earning their degrees, building careers, and creating a future in the United States.
Amid social and political uncertainty in the U.S. and their home countries, students from Mali, Bangladesh, Egypt, and Taiwan confront the personal and external struggles of chasing their own versions of the American Dream. As they work toward graduation in Utah, they must ask: can they build a life here?
