Inquiring minds of all ages are welcome to USU Physics' November Demo Show! This year's theme is "The Physics of Phase Transitions.” The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Emert Auditorium, (Room ESLC 130) of the Eccles Science Learning Center on campus. Admission is free!USU physicist James Coburn will offer exciting demonstrations of freezing, boiling, melting and condensing. Demos will include making liquid air, making solid air, crushing a 55-gallon drum and making an ice bomb!
USU’s Department of Physics was inspired to create the annual series by England’s Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, which have been a popular British tradition since 1825.
Parking for the event is available in the university parking terraces at 700 East 600 North and 850 East 700 North in Logan. Visit the USU Visitor Parking website at usu.edu/parking/visitors for parking information.
