Students will learn two different ways to use epoxy resin in this course. First, they will work with silicone molds to create a solid square or pyramid shape. Since resin must cure for 24 hours per application, students will add 1 layer during the first 2 classes and de-mold on the last day of class. They will have the opportunity to cast found objects or scrap material and add color to resin to create the layered effect in the mold. The second concept will be adding multiple layers of resin, with color and white pigment, on a wood plank or cutting board and using a heat gun to create a wave design. Students will leave class with a functional serving board, as Clear Cast 7050 resin is food safe once it has completed a full 10-day cure cycle.
This course includes 3 classes, 2 hours each. May 5, 6, & 8 (Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday) 6:30-8:30 pm. Cost of registration includes the $65 materials fee.
The Instructor for this class is Epoxy Artist Annie Rule
