On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the United States Armwrestling Federation (USAF) will host its U.S. National Championships as part of the Pittsburgh Power & Fitness Festival, May 16–17 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. While 2026 marks American Armwrestlers’ second year at the festival, it is the first time the U.S. Nationals will be contested on this iconic stage—inside one of the world’s premier expos for bodybuilding, fitness, strength, and action sports.
The U.S. Nationals are one of the most important events on the American armwrestling calendar, serving as the official pathway to Team USA and the World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) World Championships. Set inside a massive, high-energy expo, athletes will compete in front of thousands, elevating both the prestige and visibility of the sport. This is more than a tournament—it’s where national champions are crowned, international teams are built, and the next generation of world-class American armwrestlers rises.

**All competitors must be the required age by the date of competition.
***1st & 2nd Place in all divisions, except Amateur, automatically qualify to attend the WAF World Championships in Sep 2025.
REFEREE CLINIC
Friday, May 16, 2026 – Time TBA
The USAF, the only organization recognized by the WAF, will be holding a referee seminar, at the USAF National Championship. Seminar will consist of discussion/demonstration of rules, written tests, and practical tests. Anyone interested in becoming a qualified referee is welcome to attend.
ELIGIBILITY:
ONLY United States citizens may compete in the USAF National Championships or individuals that have received Permanent Residency Status - proof of status required.
