May has 5 Saturdays this year, so we'll have a Crazy 5th Saturday dance, on May 30 - and this one might be one of our craziest yet! We'll start off with a lesson by Robert Bruntz (chapter president) and Wendy Burch (chapter board member), who are not professional instructors and do not play professional instructors on TV, so that will be interesting. They'll be teaching Progressive Double Two Step, which is one of the most fun dances out there. That statement cannot be proven by science, but that doesn't make it any less true. PD2S is a country dance, but it can be done to music from a wide range of styles, like Cha Cha, Hustle, East/West Coast Swing, etc., so it's also very usable (looking at you, Polka).
After that, we'll have great dancing to the mostly-ballroom music of the amazing DJ Jerry Hardy, with just a little extra PD2S in there.
And did we mention that we'll be back on the fantastic floor at Quarterpath Rec Center?? And Oreos??? (OK, we know some of you, so this might just be Tuesday-afternoon level crazy to you. You'll just have to put up with the rest of us getting excited about it.)
