About this Event
Late 1944, deep inside the Hürtgen Forest. American forces are trying to push through dense woodland to seize key high ground and road junctions that will open the way toward the Roer River. German defenders are dug into prepared positions among the trees, using the forest for concealment and deadly short-range ambushes.
Teams
U.S. Forces (Attackers) – Elements of the Infantry Division trying to break through the forest.
German Forces (Defenders) – Units of the Infantry Division holding the woodland line.
Core Objectives
Clear the Forward Positions – U.S. forces must locate and seize two prepared defensive positions hidden in the woods.
Final Objective – Castle Hill – Capture and hold the German command post located on higher ground deeper in the forest
