Welcome to URBN VIBES, Ottawa’s monthly(ish) urban kiz social. Organized by URBN DANCE SCHOOL, URBN VIBES is a space welcome to all dancers and kizomba lovers of all levels. We understand that, as it stands right now, urban kiz can seem scary and intimidating. But the truth is, it doesn’t have to be. At URBN VIBES, you will discover a sound that is fluid, blended with influence of Afrobeat, RnB, old school hip hop, and ghetto zouk. Which, in turn, brings a dance that is less focus on tricks, and more on grooves, and vibes.
We are taking a break for the summer, but it’s only so we can come back stronger in the fall. Welcome to the HOMECOMING edition! For this special night, we have a different location, we’re going longer and later, and… we have a guest instructor/performer. Our artist, dancer, singer, songwriter, ELLA, from Montreal, will be giving two workshops, plus a live performance later in the night. Of course, to make sure you stay dancing during the night, DJ CAALICO will be back on the decks, with yours truly, DJ ESENGO. Don’t miss this very special night.
