📅 Dates: Thursdays starting May 14th (note: no class May 28th)
📍 Location: Grey Lynn Community Centre, 510 Richmond Road
🕒 7:30-8.30pm: Tech Lab (must have done a previous foundation course)
🕒 8.30-9.30pm: Improver plus
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

🔥TECHNIQUE LAB - 10 weeks🔥
Feeling stuck in your social dancing and not sure why? Want your dancing to feel smoother and more intentional? Want to have the technique to do more on the floor with confidence?
Then this is the perfect class designed for you. Over 10 weeks we will focus on the details embedding good technical muscle memory that make your dancing feel smoother, more connected and more confident.
Perfect for dancers who:
✅ Have done at least a beginner course
✅ May be feeling stuck or plateaued
✅ Want stronger foundations and better technique
✅ Want their dancing to feel easier, smoother, and more intentional
Please note: The Technique lab is NOT suitable for those completely new to dancing kizomba or Urbankiz. We require students to have a basic knowledge of kizomba/urbankiz from the start.
🔥IMPROVER PLUS- 5 weeks blocks🔥
Our Improver+ courses are designed to deep dive into specific topics / move types over a five week period starting from scratch and progressively building difficulty over 5 weeks.
Perfect for dancers who:
✅ Have completed beginner and improver level courses
✅ Have danced kizomba or urbankiz for a while
✅ Want more advanced urbankiz vocabulary and techniques
✅ You should be familiar with concepts such as loops & connectors, positional variations (such as saida, shadow position and orthogonal/side position).
