Urban Symbiosis - the Art of Living 4th - 6th October 2024 Newport Wales

Urban Symbiosis will celebrate the art of urban living and the importance of art in communities and making art with others.

This event in Newport, South Wales across the weekend of 4th/5th/6th October has at its core an exhibition of the work of BAMM members, which will sit alongside a brand-new exhibition, assembled and curated by BAMM, about Kenneth and Oliver Budd’s work in Newport. This will take place in the Gallery at the prestigious Riverfront Arts Centre and Theatre.

As well as the exhibitions, which will open on the evening of Friday, 4th October, there will be a day of talks related to the Budd mosaics, following on from the BAMM AGM on Saturday morning. The talks programme will culminate in a short, guided walking tour of the Budd mosaics in Newport.

The weekend will also include a social event on Saturday evening, a masterclass workshop programme on Sunday and a community make event where locals and BAMM members will have the chance to work alongside each other to create together.
