About this Event

Time : 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Meeting Point : Telok Ayer MRT Station Exit A
Discover urban sustainability in action on this guided cycling tour through Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD).

Cycling 8-10 kilometres along dedicated bike lanes and the Park Connector Network, you will pass through Boat Quay, Raffles Quay, and the wider CBD. Along the way, explore how green technology and thoughtful planning have been integrated into everyday city life to keep Singapore clean, liveable and sustainable.

Learn how initiatives such as the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS) support a more circular economy by encouraging recycling and reducing waste. See how green buildings, with energy efficient designs and urban greenery, help reduce heat and energy use in a dense city environment.

The tour also highlights green transport modes, including Singapore’s expanding cycling infrastructure and bike sharing ecosystem, making low carbon mobility more accessible. Participants will use bike sharing apps to track their ride and estimate carbon savings, reinforcing the impact of individual choices.

Through these experiences, you will see how a clean and green Singapore is sustained not just by systems and infrastructure, but by everyday actions, from waste reduction to responsible mobility.

The tour will conclude with a short reflection on how each of us can play a part in supporting a more sustainable urban future.
