Urban Sketching with Joe Cassidy Art
About this Event
Expressive urban sketching with Joe.
Join Norwich artist Joe for a relaxed pen and watercolour workshop exploring the art of loose urban sketching at Mind Aid Festival at The Undercroft.
This beginner-friendly session explores how loose sketching can become a mindful, low-pressure creative activity. Through a series of simple techniques, you'll learn how to break down complex scenes, develop confident linework, and use expressive watercolour to capture the atmosphere of a place without worrying about perfection.
Alongside practical sketching tips, the workshop encourages slowing down, observing your surroundings, and using drawing as a way to unwind, reduce stress, and reconnect with your creativity. Inspired by Joe's expressive urban sketches of Norwich and beyond, the session is suitable for all abilities - whether you're picking up a pen for the first time or looking to refresh your sketching style.
